2007 summer convention highlights

The weekend was filled with many learning and networking opportunities. A small golf tournament was held Friday morning. Friday evening, participants had an opportunity to experience a variety of processed meats and the "Tasters' Buffet."

Saturday morning, the group toured the Tyson Fresh Meat Facility and Edes Meats, while spouses and families attended "Ladies' Day." That evening, a social event was held, and Tommy Rowland of Tucker's Processing was presented the 2007 OTMPA Distinguished Service Award. A silent auction was held in conjunction with dinner.

Sunday morning began with a prayer breakfast, and the convention concluded with the Cured Meats Contest awards.
